आत्मकारक या आत्मा ग्रह क्या है?

आत्मा का अर्थ है आत्मा और कारक का अर्थ है कारक। आत्माकारक आत्मा की इच्छा का कारक है। वैदिक दर्शन के अनुसार एक आत्मा का पुनर्जन्म होता है क्योंकि उसकी अधूरी इच्छाएँ होती हैं जो पिछले जन्मों में अधूरी रह जाती थीं और उन्हें संतुष्ट करने का एक और अवसर पाने के लिए वह फिर से जन्म लेती है। ये इच्छाएँ क्या हैं? क्या वे पूरे होंगे या आप उनसे संघर्ष करेंगे? यह आत्मकारक ग्रह द्वारा प्रकट किया गया है।

आत्मकारक की गणना कैसे की जाती है?

सूर्य: सूर्य के आत्मकारक होने पर व्यक्ति के मुख पर तेज और ओज होता है। उसकी वाणी ओजस्वी होती है। व्यक्ति विवेकशील होता है, स्मरण शक्ति अच्छी होती है। मान-सम्मान के मामले में वह संवेदनशील होता है। वह क्रोधी भी होता है।

1. Nobility and birth in a royal family result if the Atmakaraka is in the Navamsa Lagna or 1st house. High attainments and position likened to those of a king result if the lord of the Navamsa Lagna conjoins the AK even if the native is born in humble conditions. If, on the other hand, the AK aspects the Navamsa Lagna, then the native enjoys royalty from birth. The strength of Raja-yogas also depends on the strength, position and associations of the Sun, who is the karaka of the first house.

2. If the Atmakaraka is in 2nd house (lagna in the 12th from AK), then the native is a renunciate and possibly even a saint (if other criteria additionally apply in the horoscope). Saturn is the karaka of the 12th house, and thus indicates the path of either a sannyasi (a formal renunciate) or someone who gives charity for humanitarian purposes.
